This enabled me to load the game from Steam w/o the Update error message.Ä£) Right click on the game icon and use the option to go to local files (you might have to bring up the game's properties and then hunt around till you see local files option)Ĥ) This I think is the real issue. When Finder opens to where Kingmaker is right click and select Get Info (CMD+I).Ä¥) Click and expand Sharing & Permissions. Change staff and everyone to Read & Write (probably only need Everyone)Ħ) Launch from Steam - If it's like me the game will load almost right away and then go the main menuħ) Quite and reinstall the DLC. I suspect the real issue is the read&write permissions. To do this, restart your computer and hold down the Command+R (+R) keys simultaneously when you hear the boot chime. There's a similar Win issue about making sure the folder permissions are correct. ![]() So you may not have to deal with the DLC changes, but then again it appears to have cleared the first Update Error Steam threw at me.Īnyway worked for me. ![]()
